Tribeza Interiors Tour 2016

One of my all time favorite events was a couple weeks ago and I’m still gushing about it…

Tribeza held it’s 3rd annual Interiors Tour (check out my write up on last years tour here), where local interior designers graciously open up their homes to the public, so you can walk around in awe, staring at chinoiserie wallpaper for hours – yes! Each home is a reflection of the designers aesthetic and simply put, I get pretty jellybeans. Every home has something that inspires you or makes you think of incorporating unique elements to your own space in different ways (never thought of adding art over a mirrored fireplace?). Check out some pics from the tour below…

A Maker’s Affair.

Forget Black Friday madness, the Renegade Craft Fair is coming to Austin this weekend! SAMSUNG CSCThere’s something about people who are makers and do-er’s and I just love that Austin is full of ’em. From jewelry designers to restauranteurs, this place has a entrepreneurial and creative spirit that makes you want to dive right into your next big idea. Since I’m someone who would rather pick up the hammer/paint brush/whatever and get crafty, I really appreciate seeing others talents in full swing, which is why I just had to check out the Renegade Craft Fair when it made it’s sweep through Austin last spring… And lucky for you (and your holiday shopping list) the fair is here all weekend long to help you score some holiday swag!

Popcorn lovers.

IMG_0266Last year I attempted my very first birthday cake project and had so much fun doing it, I thought I’d make another attempt for my friend Ryan’s birthday. Since he always throws the most elaborate birthday soirees AND happens to love popcorn, I tried to go all out, and thought a popcorn cake was only fitting. It also seems that I have a thing for food inspired cakes…?

Feliz Cumpleaños!

vx1DtCdRJBpR0i_x3LtVOVOMftsio3028CCNivlculgI absolutely love entertaining. Even with the stress of perfecting the table arrangement and making sure to not burn the bruschetta toast, it’s always worth it to get friends together and catch up [insert multiple wine emojis here].

A few weeks ago was one of my bests birthday, and not just any birthday, her BIG 3-0! So naturally, I decided this HAD to be a surprise party and my goal was to make her think nothing was planned, which clearly could have backfired – eek. Thanks to the help of my gal Hilary (who literally is Martha Stewart) and Nicole’s bf, John, who tricked her into thinking dinner was just for two, we pulled off a successful birthday surprise! A few tears of joy included :D

ACL fashionistas.

Ah yes, festival season in Austin, Texas. A time where barely there clothing is acceptable and pretty much anything goes when it comes to outfit planning.

It’s no surprise I love playing dress up. In fact, a major part of why I love the infamous Austin City Limits music festival is because of the ability to switch up my usual attire for something a little more playful. Sure, the live music and mighty cone lunch breaks are great, but what really draws people (fellow fashion lovers) to Zilker Park in the 90 degree Texas heat is the consistent scouring of outfit ideas. AKA ACL is pretty much one live Pinterest feed and I don’t hate it.IMG_9809The back to back weekend long music festival attracts more than 400,000 festival go-ers and 140+ artists. This year we were #blessed with performances by Drake, The Weeknd and Foo Fighters, to name a few.

But the festival fashion is what really takes the cake. Here are some looks that caught my eye:
IMG_9791 Crop tops are a staple in my wardrobe, so I was happy to see a variety of the mid drift cut gracing the festival grounds. Round sunglasses however, really made a debut this year. I mean how adorable are these mirror ray bans (and my gal, Meggie)?! :D
IMG_9796More babes. And this ain’t their first rodeo – they know how to rock that comfy cute.
