One of my favorite hobbies is scouring flea markets and antique stores. There are some hits and many misses, but I really lucked out when I found this lovely pair of Louis XV chairs. They weren’t in horrible shape (minus the totally drab fabric), but I decided to give them a facelift. I found this modern, black and white fabric and got to upholstering. It was my first go at DIY upholstery, so I purchased a step-by-step book by Spruce, which was a tremendous help. Makeover complete!
Removing the old fabric and backing. Spray painting the frame a rich glossy black.I added the double piping around the back rest and single piping around the seat. Brass studs added to secure the arm rests. And the chairs are complete with these chic Ralph Lauren pillows!
